This privacy policy explains how we collect and process personal data when you visit our website ateleris.space (the "Website"). It is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG), and the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG).

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source web analytics tool, to understand how visitors use our Website.
What Umami collects:

- Approximate geographic location (country level, derived from IP)
- Session duration
What Umami does NOT collect:
- Personal identifiers (names, email addresses)
- Cookies
- Cross-site tracking
Umami anonymises all data. Visitors cannot be individually identified, and no data is shared with third parties.
Hosting: Umami is self-hosted on our own infrastructure in Switzerland (Infomaniak / Microsoft Azure Switzerland). No analytics data is transferred outside Switzerland.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in understanding website usage to improve our services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31 revDSG).
No cookie consent banner is required because Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.
5. Hosting and Data Storage
This Website is hosted on Microsoft Azure Switzerland. All data is stored on servers located in Switzerland.
We may use additional service providers for operational purposes (e.g., email communication). Where any service provider is located outside Switzerland or the EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We may share data with:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: Microsoft Azure (Switzerland)
- Analytics: Self-hosted Umami (no third-party data sharing)
- Professional advisors: Legal, accounting, or other advisors where necessary

- Server logs: 30–90 days
- Contact enquiries: Up to 3 years after last interaction

We embed YouTube videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). This means:
